Great Work

I love the rhythm you've got here. It's a really well done D n' B and it has a spectacular intro. The only problem with it is that it gets extremely repetitive after about :40. Add in a little variation.

Lucovic responds:

I will, this one is still on my ''yet to improve'' list.

Nice!

Nice Guide DjBjra! It's really helpful for me when I create purely software based music. Thanks!

bjraMethod responds:

hells to the yes. I imagine it would work for other types of composition too. replace "computer" with "sheet of music" lawl

*insert generic statement of praise here*

Very pleasant, very peaceful. I especially love the job you did on the reverb, and the slight dissonance it creates in the background. Reminds me a bit of Jack Wall's soundtrack for Myst III, except more minimalist and more calming. Definitely one of my favorite classical/ambient pieces on the portal.

Downloaded.

S3C responds:

thank you!!

yes, I liked the reverb to in this one, I used a fantastic plugin called Glaceverb. Check it out!

Also, its an honor to be compared to Jack Wall, although, I've only heard his music in Splinter Cell.

thanks again ubertuna! its great to hear its worthy of your download :)

A Fantastic Rendition

The original video was posed here, it's way better quality. Great work, by the way :)

...eh

If you want to make this a good ambient song, you should really change up the drums a bit. That same DnB-ish drum loop playing throughout the entire song gets a little irritating after a bit. You might also want to consider adding in more instruments other than that pad. A song can be empty without being... sparse. It's an ok start though.

tijnn responds:

Well if you have even read my comments i clearly said it's meant to be repetetive and subtile, it's a background song and i put it in ambient just because it wouldn't be very at it's place anywhere else, even when it's not really ambient.

Anyways, i know what you mean, but it's my point doing it this way.

Very good.

This is a very well done song. It does a great job of creating a mood, calm and intensely dark. It is well composed and has good to great instrumentation. One of the better songs I have seen. Nice work!

popraz responds:

Thank you !

Nicely done.

This is quite nice, certainly the best out of your three submissions. Keep up the good work :D

OPQC responds:

yep, but i stopped making these... i think i sometimes make an another one again.

Well done.

It's very well done, but the panning is a little off. All of the instruments are coming from the left, you should spread them out to increase that "surrounded by jungle" feeling. Other than that, it has great composition and amazing instrumentation. Another musical home run for he Maestro!

MaestroRage responds:

is it?! I didn't notice any panning extremes. I will have to open the file and see if really somebody is sending something to the far left.

Thanks for the heads up and the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Nice.

I agree, the vocal at 1:20 is a little out of place, but other than that it's a solid trance song.

Backslashed responds:

Yeah i agree, it's out of sync.
Just if i had the original file...

I like it. Simple and calming.

This is a nice nice, simple, calming loop. I like it. You might want to consider making the drops a little less piercing if you're going to edit this. Otherwise, nice job :)

Gnydsmelt responds:

allright, cheers man!
