Congrats!

Congrats! Score ranked #40 and featured in a submission! It's a great song :) I don't really have any feedback to give on this...

kjhf responds:

Even I was surprised by the rank - 40th out of thousands!
I glad so many people like it.

You also missed gold.

Other than that, quite an amazing piece.

Improved. Greatly.

I just saw the edit you made to your message. I like this one much better than the first. Personally, when I said bells I was invisioning something a little higher, but these work very well indeed. This is getting a 9!

kjhf responds:

Haha, don't worry - this is just a taster - I'm in the process of making The Secret Forest 3! Or 2... Meh I'll call it 2 since this is 1.5.
So far I've added a flute and bass (see comment below). Hope you vote 10 on that to continue the pattern ;)

Meh/Eh

I can see how this might be a good song for other people, but It really doesn't do it for me :/ It might be the wooshy noise and the drums.

Better than basshunter.

So much better than the original :) Gah, I hated those lyrics.

Good Idea

It's a pretty good idea, but there is a lot of empty space in this song. It might be good for something soundtracky, but listening to this by itself, there needs to be another instrument. Also, you have fallen into the death trap of the unrealistic synth strings. Either give them some reverb or go for a cello. Another thing that might be good would be to have a high bell sound that his at certain points in the song, "dum dun dum dum dun, dum dun dun dun *tink*".

kjhf responds:

The empty space is intentional - It's held back, secret.
As for the instruments, I quite like the bell idea. Probably add reverb instead of changing the ready-made instruments because personally, I like the synth sounds.
Keep in touch. Chances are I'll make a second, and thanks for the detailed review :D

Edit: New one is made! http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/142273

Amazing.

This is, without a doubt, the best song on the portal. Extremely fast paced, a fucking awesome piano solo, not annoying drums, fitting lyrics, great techno-dance sound, and it makes me want to dance around in my underwear. I think I put too much rum in my coffee that night :/ GREAT JOB MAN! 20/10, 10/5.

Cubase :)

Yay for Cubase :) I use it sometimes, but I use Reason mostly.

SkyMarshall responds:

Cubase SX3 4 l1f3 :D
Thanks for the review, comrade )

Amazing

One of the bast D&B songs I have heard on newgrounds, this is simply amazing. There is no other way to pt it, and nothing more to be said. Except that the clicky noise gets annoying.

LiquidEcstacy responds:

I agree. I don't know what i was doing haha

Needs a Piano

After listening to the first 5 seconds, I thought that I was going to end up with some horrible drum-ish loop. This is actually pretty good. Very quaint, and the lyrics are nice too. Needs an unaltered piano.

pookicker responds:

I may go back and add a piano... but, I have a hard time with notes and chords because I can't really understand music. I have to play it back a thousand times using different strategies to get a sound.

Thanks for the appreciation.
